Gooooood morning!
Today I want to discuss what I consider ANOTHER one of the most important life skills you’ll ever learn: resilience.
If you’ve ever been a student of Mr. Crocker’s, you know his motto: keep moving forward. Mr. Crocker teaches you that failure is okay, and that failure is a necessary part of growth. That is called resilience.
As you’ll learn in the Ted Talk below, “failure is required to promote resilience. Resilience means you face life’s stressors and challenges and you bounce back and recover, and in doing so, you can enrich your life. Being resilient means you face stressors, not eliminate them. You learn from your mistakes, not avoid making them. You rebound from failure.”
So, watch this video:
https://www.ted.com/talks/raphael_rose_how_failure_cultivates_resilience
When you’re done, I want you to think about what steps you can take to foster resilience in yourself. Like Raphael asked at the end of his talk: what is your path to resilience?
Have an awesome day!!!
